What does the name Salon Purpose mean to you?
It means so many things to me, there isn’t just one thing! But in essence, we are here on purpose for ‘our people’ - the clients, the staff and the vulnerable communities we impact.
What one thing do you love most about being a part of the Salon Purpose team?
For me, it’s all about loving and leading an army of incredible women to see bigger than themselves. I strive to combine all my training and experience into nurturing another girl like me. I am here to help her find a deeper purpose within and to be immersed in a nurturing environment intentionally designed to bring out success.
Tell us your secret skill or hobby that not many people know?
I can tattoo. I tattooed my husband!
Which aspect of being a hairdresser brings you the most joy and fulfilment?
The incredible relationships and trust you form with clients. I also love the life-long friendships you make.

What does the name Salon Purpose mean to you?
I feel like I’m a part of something big. While we are changing colours, cuts and styles, Salon Purpose is in the background changing the world!
What one thing do you love most about being a part of the Salon Purpose team?
The Salon Purpose team is like no other. So much love, understanding, hard work and passion for the client experience, and great hair!
Tell us your secret skill or hobby that not many people know?
When I’m not in the salon, I’m pole dancing! I have been pole/chair dancing for 8 years. I have won a few competitions and now I teach!
Which aspect of being a hairdresser brings you the most joy and fulfilment?
Give me a full head of foils any day of the week!! I love the feeling I get when I absolutely nail a colour/style for someone. When clients leave happy, it makes my day!

Proud! I’m so proud to work in such a positive space with radiant energy. I feel safe, comfortable and honoured when I come to work.
What one thing do you love most about being a part of the Salon Purpose team?
Our purpose and our team! I’ve never worked for a salon where it’s all around thoughtful. Our purpose is thoughtful, and our salon and girls are thoughtful. It’s a big space where it’s important to feel safe

Art!
Which aspect of being a hairdresser brings you the most joy and fulfilment?
Definitely the fact that I get the chance to make someone’s day / week / month. When I get the job of transforming someone’s hair I get SO excited because I get the opportunity to change the way they feel about themselves. When they walk out of the salon I want them to feel transformed and feeling like Beyoncé - a total queen!

What does the name Salon Purpose mean to you?
So proud to know that what we do day in, and day out is not only for our clients but for greater good. To know that we are making a difference both locally and on the other side of the world is amazing.
What one thing do you love most about being a part of the Salon Purpose team?
I love the sense of family and community we have as a team. We work hard, play hard and love hard - it truly makes working easy!
Tell us your secret skill or hobby that not many people know?
My favourite thing to do is be alone at the beach on a sunny day, swimming in the ocean or walking along the coastline with a coffee.
Which aspect of being a hairdresser brings you the most joy and fulfilment?
The satisfaction of making someone’s day from sitting in our chair. Whether it’s a full transformation or a blow-dry, it truly gives me so much joy to make someone feel so much better within such a short period of time.

It makes me happy to know I’m contributing to those less fortunate through my work at Salon Purpose.
What one thing do you love most about being a part of the Salon Purpose team?
Salon Purpose is just what I need to balance my working mum life. I love to walk in and be part of a creative inspirational team that lives and breathes the belief that there’s no ‘I’ in team!!
Tell us your secret skill or hobby that not many people know?
In my spare time I love to spend hours creating designer cakes.

When you make someone feel a million dollars, that’s when I feel fulfilled.

What does the name Salon Purpose mean to you?
It’s just a wow feeling to work at such an incredible salon doing great hair as well as making an impact on others at the same time. Our ‘With Love’ campaigns blow my mind! It’s amazing how we can make a huge difference just by doing our little bit. We aren’t your average salon just doing hair, everything we do is for a bigger reason.
What one thing do you love most about being a part of the Salon Purpose team?
The support - we are a team like no other! You could be unsure or struggling with something but there is always someone there ready to step in and help you through.
Tell us your secret skill or hobby that not many people know?
I’m a dancer who competed at the world level.
Which aspect of being a hairdresser brings you the most joy and fulfilment?
How happy my clients leave + how I can make them feel confident and amazing by changing their hair with a trim, colour or even by simply putting a curl in their hair.

Salon Purpose is a perfect name for our salon as we strive to make an impact in every way - from our beautiful clients, to our local community, to life-changing causes all over the world.
What one thing do you love most about being a part of the Salon Purpose team?
The inclusive environment with such a close-knit group of girls. It means so much to me that we not only help each other inside the salon everyday, but we are also making a difference around the world.
Tell us your secret skill or hobby that not many people know?
I love to sing! I used to take lessons and did it for my HSC, but now I just do it at home when noone is listening
Which aspect of being a hairdresser brings you the most joy and fulfilment?
I especially enjoy working with clients who don’t usually take time for self care. To make them feel beautiful and like they are worth investing into an appointment that gives them a break from their busy lives is something I love being part of.

Salon Purpose means kind and warm, welcoming of all people. A loving work environment where staff and clients grow together. A space where we change the way people see themselves, inside and out. Offering an ear to those who need it, or a quiet space for those needing a break from the noise of the world. An environment where selflessness and helping others is the priority. Where all life is precious and celebrated.
What one thing do you love most about being a part of the Salon Purpose team?
That our main focus is to be a salon with purpose - to make the world a better place through helping others in a multitude of selfless ways.

I am an artist. I mainly paint landscapes and seascapes.
Which aspect of being a hairdresser brings you the most joy and fulfilment?
The thought that your work grows people’s confidence in themselves and happiness. Each client is like a new canvas where you can create an artwork that is always unique and different.

It feels amazing! I am SO lucky to be supported in a career that I love. It’s pretty special to know that not only am I being nurtured in my life, but my work also helps others who aren’t as well supported in their own lives.
What one thing do you love most about being a part of the Salon Purpose team?
Everyone has made me feel like a welcomed part of the team since day one. I feel supported, wanted and as important as any other team member.
Tell us your secret skill or hobby that not many people know?
I’ve spent my life playing and competing in many different sports. My main sport is still netball which I’ve played for 10 years.
Which aspect of being a hairdresser brings you the most joy and fulfilment?
At the moment I am loving learning so much! I have the most incredible teachers and can’t wait until I can share all this knowledge and learned skills with my own clients.

It’s so nice to feel like you are a part of something bigger than yourself. To just go to work every day and do my job and at the same time be making a difference to those that need it is very rewarding.

I love that everyone has each other’s back. We are teamwork at its finest when it comes to every aspect of the salon running smoothly and always putting our clients first. We can have fun at work while remaining professional and provide a high level of service.

Seeing people feel their beauty. As well as seeing clients feel really happy and calm in a relaxing environment - alleviating the stress out of people's lives.

I can play guitar and have been playing for 10+ years.

I love how we are able to make people feel their best. The look on clients’ faces after a transformation and the extra spring in their step as they leave their appointment is super fulfilling.

What does the name Salon Purpose mean to you?
It is more than just a workplace! Making an impact on those who are less fortunate than ourselves is something so important. I am so pleased to say I work at Salon Purpose!
What one thing do you love most about being a part of the Salon Purpose team?
Coming into a new environment and being very new to hairdressing, I was extremely nervous! But the entire Salon Purpose team welcomed me with open arms and have taught me so many new things for which I am incredibly grateful for. Never once did I feel judged - I’ve only experienced so much kindness and love.
Tell us your secret skill or hobby that not many people know?
I have been playing many different sports ever since I was little. Currently I play touch football, competing for the Sydney and NSW teams.
Which aspect of being a hairdresser brings you the most joy and fulfilment?
I love seeing clients so happy with their hair and feeling a sense of emotional satisfaction! Watching our clients leave the salon loving their look and having grown in confidence is such a fulfilling experience for me.
